Positive: Location near to everything, clean, well equipped, bathroom all works, fan provided at my request. Microwave, electric hot plate, iron, hairdryer, mosquito repellent plug in unit, fridge, all very welcome. New and comfortable sofa bed. Quiet street. Good wi-fi. Negative: Terrible, patronising information about booking from so-called concierge HostnFly, and their local representatives (Bruno et Sophie, which they call “referent”) and unclear process for getting the key. Multiple machine-generated emails that are meaningless or lack vital info. Local representatives don’t answer the phone and won’t give info 3 days before as booking.com says. They are charming in person but travellers need info before arrival. You have to pay a deposit of 250 euros to some other app organisation with a silly name that I’ve never heard of against damage. They tell you to take pictures to prove you haven’t damaged anything and upload them - but upload doesn’t work. Online reviews by others complain about unfair charges for damage - so beware. As for the flat itself, communal stairs carpet worn, dangerous trip hazard, smelly (cleaning fluids etc.), dim. Corridor to flat exceptionally narrow staircase. Very hot in flat in July - no AC (not many private dwellings do in Avignon). Very small overall (not much room after sofa bed unfolded). Thin curtains let in light/heat during daytime.
