Emplacement

Commune du Grand-Est, Gérardmer takes place in the department of Vosges, in Lorraine. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Vosges by Victor Hugo’s brother, Abel, it is located not far from Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, in the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges. Gérardmer, according to historians, would have been created in 1285, and knew a long common history with the duchy of Lorraine and the abbey of the canonesses of Remiremont.
